The Story Behind TA Rugs

An independent blog about everything rugs — written by someone who has bought enough wrong ones to finally know better.

TA Rugs started the way most useful websites do: with frustration. Shopping for a rug means wading through retailer guides that all want to sell you something, forum threads that contradict each other, and product pages that describe a piece of plastic as “luxurious.” Somewhere between the second wrong rug and the third, taking notes turned into writing guides, and the guides turned into this site.

The promise here is simple. We don’t sell rugs. When we recommend products, we say why and how we chose them, and if a link earns us a commission, it’s labeled. When we don’t know something, we say that too — you’ll find plenty of “I go back and forth on this” in our articles, because honest uncertainty beats confident nonsense. Every guide is researched, and where possible, tested against the rugs we actually live with.
